come to terms with the difficulties of having human alter egos along
with everything else ... Alongside Captain Marvel, there is Mary
Marvel, who the Captain has married more to form a bona fide clan in
opposition to that of Superman than for any other reason. There is
also Captain Marvel Jr., now an adult superhero every bit as
powerful and imposing as Captain Marvel in his prime, but forced to
labor under the eternal shadow of a senior protege. To complicate
things, Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel are having an affair
behind the Captain's back, Guinevere and Lancelot style, which has
every bit as dire consequences as in the Arthurian
legends."
